Hi, I'm Zac Longwell.

Though I am not originally from West Virginia, I consider this great state my home. I first arrived in Mountain Momma in the fall of 2018 and fell in love. Now, I wish I could tell you the "one thing" that made me know I belonged here, but I can't. You see, there was not one specific moment or experience that made me know West Virginia was where I wanted to be, but rather, it was a combination of things. Being an outdoors enthusiast, the first thing I remember was being captivated by the natural beauty of this breathtaking state. From hiking to hunting to fishing and so much more, I knew I could never get enough. Another specific thing that really surprised me was the people. I could tell with each person I met across the state that there was a sense of core values and community here that you won't find anywhere else. Neighbors helping neighbors and strangers helping strangers is a common practice in this wonderful state. Seeing how these tenets directly aligned with my conservative Christian beliefs, I knew I had found the perfect fit.

Since deciding to place my roots in this great state and call it my home, I have worked as a paralegal at a local law firm in Charleston. Much of my focus in this role has been on estate and family law matters. As I started to think more about all that West Virginia and Kanawha County have given me, I began to consider how I might repay the generosity
. The first thought that instantly came to mind was public service.

I have seen and experienced firsthand the potential within West Virginia and Kanawha County. I genuinely believe we can unlock this potential together and do great things. I hope you will support me as we work together to start a new chapter in Kanawha County.
